Deep tissue massage applies firm, sustained pressure to the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. It is one of the most clinically studied forms of therapeutic massage, with documented effects on chronic pain, muscular tension, and circulatory function. Unlike relaxation massage, deep tissue targets specific anatomical structures — releasing adhesions, improving range of motion, and restoring normal tissue function.
What to expect
Your therapist will use slow, deliberate strokes and direct pressure across the grain of the muscle. You may feel mild discomfort in areas of tension — this is normal and subsides quickly. Most clients report significant relief within 24 hours of the session.
Best for: Desk workers · Chronic back pain · Athletes · Stress-related tension · Post-injury recovery

A full-body massage using therapeutic-grade essential oils selected for their specific physiological properties. The oils are absorbed through the skin and inhaled simultaneously, engaging both the muscular and nervous systems. Lavender reduces anxiety, eucalyptus supports respiratory function, and peppermint alleviates headaches — each session is tailored to your presenting needs.
Best for: Anxiety · Sleep disorders · Hormonal imbalance · Emotional exhaustion

Smooth basalt stones are heated and placed at key anatomical points across the body while the therapist uses others as an extension of their hands. Heat penetrates 3–4 centimetres into muscle tissue — significantly deeper than manual pressure alone — causing vasodilation, accelerated metabolic waste clearance, and profound muscular relaxation.
Best for: Deep relaxation · Poor circulation · Fibromyalgia · Cold extremities · Insomnia

A precise, rhythmic technique using light pressure to stimulate the lymphatic vessels just beneath the skin. Because the lymphatic system has no internal pump, it depends entirely on external stimulation to move lymph fluid. This treatment reduces oedema, supports immune function, and clears metabolic waste that accumulates in stagnant tissue — particularly after surgery, illness, or prolonged inactivity.
Best for: Post-surgical swelling · Frequent illness · Fluid retention · Detoxification · Immune support

Designed specifically for athletes and physically active individuals, this treatment combines deep tissue techniques, myofascial release, and targeted stretching to address the repetitive strain patterns unique to sport. Regular sports massage reduces delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), improves flexibility, and statistically reduces soft tissue injury risk when incorporated into a training programme.
Best for: Athletes · Runners · Gym-goers · Post-training recovery · Injury prevention

Reflexology applies targeted pressure to specific zones on the feet and hands that correspond to organs, glands, and systems throughout the body. Rooted in the principle that the body is mapped on the extremities, reflexology promotes systemic balance, reduces nervous system overactivation, and has been shown in clinical studies to improve outcomes in anxiety, PMS, and chronic pain conditions.
Best for: Hormonal imbalance · Digestive issues · Chronic fatigue · Stress · Headaches

A therapeutic steam treatment infused with medicinal herbs selected for their detoxifying, anti-inflammatory, and respiratory properties. Steam opens the pores, facilitates the elimination of toxins through the skin, loosens mucus in the airways, and induces a parasympathetic state that prepares the body deeply for any massage treatment that follows. Often recommended as a pre-treatment.
Best for: Detoxification · Respiratory congestion · Skin health · Pre-massage preparation · Relaxation

Neurological Rehabilitation Support
Stroke recovery is a complex, multi-phase process that extends well beyond acute medical care. Research consistently shows that structured physical therapy — including massage and targeted movement work — significantly improves functional outcomes in stroke survivors by stimulating neuroplasticity, restoring circulation to affected limbs, and reducing spasticity in paralysed or weakened muscle groups.
Our programme is designed to complement the patient's existing medical care and is coordinated with their clinical team where applicable.
Circulatory & Peripheral Health Programme
Diabetes affects the vascular and nervous systems progressively, leading to poor circulation, peripheral neuropathy, and delayed wound healing — particularly in the lower extremities. Therapeutic massage and complementary physical interventions have been shown in peer-reviewed research to improve insulin sensitivity, reduce neuropathic pain, and enhance blood flow to areas of compromised circulation.
This programme is not a replacement for medical treatment. It is a structured complementary therapy designed to improve quality of life and manage the physical complications of diabetes in coordination with the patient's physician.
Answer three quick questions and we'll recommend the most appropriate treatment for your needs.
Question 1 of 3
What is your primary reason for seeking treatment?
Question 2 of 3
How would you describe your preferred pressure?
Question 3 of 3
How much time do you have available?
Our recommendation
Based on your answers, deep tissue massage is the most appropriate treatment for you.
Do I need to undress for a massage? +
You undress to your level of comfort. Most clients undress fully or to their underwear, but you are always fully draped with a sheet and only the area being worked on is exposed at any time. Your privacy and comfort are paramount.
What should I do before my session? +
Arrive well hydrated. Avoid eating a heavy meal within 1–2 hours of your session. If you are having a home service, prepare a quiet, warm space. Shower beforehand if possible. Remove jewellery and avoid applying heavy lotions or oils to your skin.
Can I combine two services in one visit? +
Yes. The most popular combination is the herbal steam bath followed by a deep tissue or aromatherapy massage. The steam opens the pores and relaxes the muscle tissue, significantly deepening the effectiveness of the massage that follows. Let us know at booking and we will schedule the time accordingly.
Is home service available for all treatments? +
All massage services are available as home service across Akwa Ibom. The herbal steam bath is currently available at our store only as it requires specialist equipment. A transport surcharge may apply depending on your location — this will be confirmed at booking.
Is massage safe if I have a medical condition? +
For most conditions, therapeutic massage is safe and beneficial. However, certain conditions require adaptation or medical clearance first — including active blood clots, severe osteoporosis, open wounds, fever, or recent surgery. Please disclose your full health history at booking and our team will advise appropriately.
How often should I book sessions? +
For general wellbeing and stress management, once or twice per month is sufficient. For chronic pain, athletic recovery, or clinical conditions, more frequent sessions — weekly or bi-weekly — yield significantly better outcomes. Our monthly packages are designed around the optimal treatment frequency for each duration.
What happens after a deep tissue session? +
Some clients experience mild soreness in treated areas for 24–48 hours — this is a normal response as the tissue heals and toxins are flushed out. Drink plenty of water after your session. Most clients feel significantly better by the following morning. A warm bath with Epsom salts can help if soreness is notable.
Do you offer sessions for elderly clients? +
Yes. We have significant experience working with elderly clients and adapt pressure, positioning, and technique accordingly. Gentle massage is particularly beneficial for older adults — improving circulation, reducing joint stiffness, and supporting mental wellbeing. Home service is often the most practical option for elderly clients and is fully available.
